Wiccan Haus (Book #15) BOOK BLITZ - Soul of Flame by: Merryn Dexter
Soul of Flame
Blurb
Exiled from her clan by a
suspicious Queen, Fire Fae Ceara finds peace among the humans and a role within
an elite rescue team. Following a tragic accident, the deaths of her team and
the loss of her powers, Ceara is sent to the mysterious resort of Wiccan Haus
to heal.
Kidnapped, abused and cursed
on escape, black jaguar Shimeer Neguar is desperately seeking the cure which
will re-unite him with his shifter half. Wiccan Haus is his last hope, but he
is horrified to discover his nemesis is also a guest on the island.
When a huge black jaguar
attacks Ceara, she hopes for death and an end to her suffering but the shifter
fails to bite. The staff on the island want him banished, but understanding
Shim has been the victim of another Fae, Ceara intercedes on his behalf and he
is permitted to stay, as long as he stays away from her.
The smoke and spice scent of
the Fae is driving Shim crazy and he can’t keep away from her. Can he reconcile
his feelings and the Fates desire for them to mate with the fact that she is
the image of the woman he loathes?
Ceara begins to fear the
worst, the magnetic shifter who haunts her thoughts and inflames her passion is
the key to a prophesy that threatens her very existence.
Can two broken souls find
healing and love at Wiccan Haus or is their fated union the key to their
destruction?
Extract
A rustle in the grass disturbed her. She raised
her hand to shield her eyes, the sun shone high overhead now, dazzling her.
Sitting up, she faced the noise and frowned at the tall man prowling through
the meadow in her direction.
Jet-black hair lay close to his scalp, and his
golden-brown skin glowed in the sun. His body flowed with the inborn grace of a
shifter, and thick corded muscle packed his shoulders and arms. Dressed in a
white T-shirt and cargo shorts, his bare feet ate up the distance until he
paused at the edge of the circle. The lines feathered around his eyes and two
deep grooves etched between his dark brows spoke of age and experience. A scruff
of beard graced his jaw and upper lip, flecks of silver glinting in the bright
sunshine. His jade eyes gave her the final piece in an unwanted puzzle. The
jaguar.
Although he remained outside the circle, his
presence unnerved her. The hairs on the back of her neck bristled, things long
dormant stirring deep in her belly. Rising to her feet, she drew upon every
harsh lesson learned at Court. Women of the Emerald did not get intimidated by
walking beasts—no matter how attractive. Not possible.
His gaze traced over her naked form, she fought
the urge to preen beneath his attention.
“You were told to stay away from me.”
“I was.” His deep voice rumbled in his chest,
and her nipples pebbled in response.
Words flooded her mind. Primal, base, earthy.
Nothing like the preening fools at Court nor the softer humans she’d met. Hard,
strong, resilient. A man worthy to stand beside the daughter of a queen. His
presence prickled over her skin like fireflies dancing in a dusky evening sky.
Taking a step forward, he breeched the
perimeter of the circle. The energy flowing through her body took on a
different resonance. Sharp, fierce power flooded her veins, and she threw her
head back, crying out. The world shifted on its axis, the meadow around them
altering beyond recognition. The atmosphere thickened, hot and humid with a
hint of sulfur. Fronded palms waved in the breeze, choking vines curled around
thick trunks, bright tropical flowers spread out before her eyes.
She glanced down, and he stood right there at
the foot of the dolmen, his jade eyes glowing. He captured her gaze, held it
with ease—not something many men could do—and it ramped up her excitement. He
couldn’t be called good-looking, in any conventional sense. His features, too
scarred and age battered to be considered pretty, were raw, compelling. She
wanted nothing more than to leap from her high perch into his embrace.

A Character Interview!!!
Character Interview with Arawn the Immortal, Trinity
the Banshee & Kane the Gargoyle of Claiming Trinity
Today, I would like to welcome Arawn,
(hero #1,) Trinity, (heroine) & Kane, (hero #2,) of Claiming Trinity.
Thank you for coming to chat with
us today. Tell us, how did you three meet?
ARAWN: Well, that’s an interesting story.
*he snickers* The big guy and I, *motions to Kane* were signed up for more
training on the island with Rekkus. We had just arrived and were getting
debriefed about our schedule and accommodations, and BAM, this incredible lady
came crashing into our lives.
Crashing? *interviewer tilts her
head, and offers a curious stare*
TRINITY *giggles* Yeah, you had to be
there, but it was definitely not one of my most graceful moments. But it
was-uh, *her cheeks flush bright red* memorable!
KANE: Sadly, I wasn’t in the line of
fire, this big lug got all the excitement! *grumbles as he flashes a slighted
grin.*
TRINITY: Hey! *slaps Kane’s thigh* don’t
forget the Elysian Fields, you had your own crash landing there, twice! Not to
mention, our little game on the floor that one night with the three of us…
KANE: *clears his throat and nods. Kane
untucks his t-shirt and pulls it over his zipper as he shifts in his seat.* Good
times, beautiful…*grins, then shakes his head* Uh, what were we talking about?
*stares wide-eyed at the interviewer*
*chuckles out loud* You three seem
pretty close. Tell us a little about yourselves?
TRINITY: Well, I was having a tough time,
and the Rowan siblings made a generous offer to host me for a week on the
island. You see, I’m grief therapist, and a Banshee, with a twist. I had
recently suffered a loss of family, and my heritage turned out to be a bit of a
surprise for me. I was going through a rough time and they offered to help me
through it.
How?
TRINITY: Well, for starters, they gave me
a pair of enchanted glasses.
What for?
TRINITY: I see auras, and I was getting a
little overwhelmed, the glasses were able to mute some of the stimuli to give
me a break.
Did they work?
TRINITY: For a short time, but other
issues arose quickly.
What else did the Rowans’ do to
help you?
Trinity
held both Kane and Arawn’s hands. TRINITY:
More than I can put into words at the moment.
ARAWN: Trinity was being targeted, the
Rowan’s assigned us to keep her safe, and offered some different therapies on
the island to help her out.
That sounds terrifying, why was she
being targeted?
TRINITY: It’s really a great deal to get
into in such a short interview. Let’s just say, I learned a lot about myself that
week.
Interesting. How about you, Arawn?
ARAWN: Me? *scraped his chin with his
fingertips and deliberates* I’m on the Para Elite Forces with Kane here. We’ve
been best friends for as long as I can remember.
KANE: I owe Arawn my life, instead, he
settled for the brother he never had. *Kane winks at Arawn.* We joined the Para
Elite Forces together, because protecting the innocent is the most important
thing in the world to us.
ARAWN: And in the Underworld. *Arawn
grimaces and rubs his chest*
Underworld? Are you Arawn of Annwn,
the Immortal?
ARAWN: Yeah, that’s me. I abdicated my
claim to the throne, and since then, we’ve been fighting the good fight. Turned
out to be the best decision of our lives, because it brought us face to face
with this incredible woman. *he lifts her hand to his lips and kisses the inside
of her wrist with affection*
KANE: You make an excellent point, old
friend. *Kane does the same with her other hand.*
And, Kane, are you Immortal, as
well?
KANE: I’m uh…a shifter. Can we skip
this question please? *presses his lips tight and flexes his jaw muscles*
Of course, moving on. *smiles* I
see hints of some impressive ink hiding behind that collar, Arawn. Care to give
us a peek at your tattoos?
ARWAN:
I—uh,
*tucks chin down and shakes his head.*
KANE *utters a soft growl.*
Two for two, I appear to be making
you both uncomfortable with some of my questions. Apologies, gentlemen.
TRINITY: Don’t stress about it hunny. Arawn
doesn’t like to take his shirt off. *pats his knee and flashes a tender smile*
And Kane is a little shy. He’s still cautious about people seeing both sides of
who he is. So selective reveals are few and far between.
I understand. Does that mean you
have you seen their tattoos?
TRINITY: Oh, yes, up close and personal. I
will tell you, both of them have exquisite canvasses of inked eye candy, and
it’s more than just show, it’s meaningful.
Lucky girl. *interviewer pouts*
TRINITY: I most certainly am.
What really pushes your buttons?
KANE: Now that’s a loaded question! *steels
his back and lets out a low grown* For me, I’d have to say, evil actions
against innocents. I can’t stand the smell of evil. The sight of malicious beings
enrages me, it makes me lose control—I don’t want to get into it. *folds his arms
across his chest*
TRINITY: It’s okay, everything is fine
now. *gently caresses his shoulder*
ARAWN: I second that. Malevolent beings
with a sense of entitlement to harm anyone they wish in order to achieve their
own goals of power and acquisition. Those who prey on what they perceive to be
weakness, when in fact, they work so hard to cover up their own inferiority.
TRINITY: *pauses as she ponders the question*
Pretty thought-provoking question. I’d have to say, those who torture innocent
children that have nothing to do with the problem at hand. And family secrets
that haunt generations to come.
Sounds like you all need to relax a
bit. Any ideas on how to go about that?
ALL THREE RESPOND SIMOUTANEOUSLY: “The Hot Springs.”
TRINITY: *cups her hand over her mouth to stifle
a giggle* A nice warm dip, for sure.
ARAWN: Don’t you mean skinny—
TRINITY: Be quiet! *she slaps his arm in
protest*
KANE: *squirms in his seat* Are we
finished yet? I feel the need for a swim now, thanks a lot!
What is your biggest fear?
TRINITY: My biggest fear is the uprising
against the Syndicate. There are a great many paras on their radar, and after
what I’ve seen and experienced…
ARAWN: Never again, Princess, you have
our word.
KANE: Agreed, with every last drop of
blood that courses through our veins, you will be kept safe from harm.
TRINITY:
That’s one thing, I’m absolutely sure of. *leans over to her right side and
kisses Kane on the cheek, then to the left and does the same to Arawn.
Thank you all, for dropping by to
talk with us today. Sounds like the Wiccan Haus has even more successful
healing to be credited for.

Excerpt:
With
a deep breath and her Wiccan Haus charm in hand, Trinity folded her completed
checklist for items to pack and shoved it into her pocket. She clutched the
handle of her suitcase and mustered the courage to step into the portal.
In
a flash, lights swirled around her, the sensation of gravity dissipated, her
body lightened, and her limbs lingered in the air. She floated up, twisted, and
spun on the spot. A faint, but deep voice echoed in the distance, “Incoming.”
In
the blink of an eye, she bounced through the end of the portal, crashing into three
large, burly men and toppling over a dark-haired stranger.
“Whoa!”
He stopped their rolling together and landed on his back. Heated hands gripped
her sides as she came to rest on top of his rock solid-chest, face to face. He
chuckled. “You okay, princess?”
The
sweetness of his warm breath brushed her lips and tingles of electricity ran
over her sides where his hands held her steady. A delectable aroma of amber and
patchouli wafted past her nose. Trinity leaned closer to his neck and inhaled
then jerked. Lost in the depths of his dark eyes and chiseled features. His
stare penetrated her and his touch stirred something deep inside. “I’m…oh, my….”
She bit her lip.4
“Are
you hurt?” He frowned.
“No.”
She rested her palms on his hard chest. But I don’t think I would notice if I was. My word, you’re handsome.
A warmth curled around her spine, followed by giddy tickles in her tummy. Her
body responded to the contact and lulled her other senses. In the next instant,
she snapped out of her lustful daze with dread. “I’m so sorry,” she sucked in a
sharp inhale and eased herself to sit up.
His
hands settled on her hips. “I’m not.”
Trinity
slammed her eyes shut, her cheeks burned with embarrassment at the sudden
realization she now straddled the stranger she had just tackled to the ground.
“By the gods, please tell me this did not just happen.” She slung her leg over to
kneel on the floor and scrambled to get up. Another set of heated hands gripped
her under the arms and lifted her to her feet.
“You
landed pretty hard, are you sure you didn’t get hurt?” A second hunk
straightened her glasses and brushed her shoulder off.
“I
had a cushion to break my fall,” she simpered. Trinity smoothed back her hair
to find the tight bun she had slicked her mane into had loosened and stray strands
of hair littered her vision. She brushed away the rogue locks, and her breath
hitched as her focus landed on another delectable vision.

Wiccan Haus (Book #12) Book Blitz - Sorcerer's Legacy - By Carolyn Spear!
Sorcerer’s Legacy
by Carolyn Spear
(Wiccan Haus)
Blurb:
Librarian Rebecca Jones
has always found solace in books. The death of her grandmother leaves her alone
in the world. An inherited old Welsh scroll renews her desire to find the
father she never knew. She hopes fairytale Wiccan Haus will yield the answers she
needs.
Descendent of the
inspiration for the Merlin legend, Ian Branson lives with the responsibility of
protecting humans and paranormal beings. He takes an impromptu vacation with
the Rowans of Wiccan Haus, seeking healing for his out of control psychic
abilities.
As soon as Ian meets
Becca, he feels the pull of his soulmate. Love has no place in his life but he
cannot deny the peace only she can provide. Becca finds her Welsh knight in
shining armor to translate her scroll but passion tempts her from her quest to
find her father.
As their relationship
blooms, Ian fears putting another loved one in jeopardy. A tryst isn’t enough
but Ian’s charmed solution goes awry.
With his emotions into a tailspin, he is forced to sacrifice his pride
and ask the formidable eldest Rowan for help.
Will Sarka’s magic
reverse the sorcerer’s spell and will Becca accept Ian’s legacy and her own?
Excerpt:
From
his Richard Gere hair to his stern clean-shaven jaw, he was model material. His
eyes, soft green like a mist-covered glade, penetrated straight to her soul.
Ian posed a danger to her heart, no matter how he charged her body.
Remember
what Grandma always said. “Think with your logical brain, not
with your romantic heart. Love does not put food in your mouth or a roof over
your head.”
Or
decipher an ancient Welsh text.
“What
can I do?” she asked as she stood, having nothing to do.
He
rose from where he’d prepared the fire pit and walked to her, extending his
hand. After a moment, she took it and stood beside him.
“Nothing.
It’s done. Are you ready?”
“For
what?” Truly, the limits of reality had been shattered and anything seemed possible.
“For
magick.”
About
the author:
Welcome
to Wiccan Haus. I know you’ll love this series as much as I do. It is a world
of possibilities, an escape from our daily realities. An island with shifters,
witches, and all manner of paranormal beings, there’s mystery and magic around
every bend, in each encounter.
I’m
Carolyn Spear, mother of two sweet girls and wife of one fabulous husband.
Reading, gardening and exploring are my passions. I don’t really “write” but
rather channel my characters' stories to share with others. A strange
combination of small town girl, travel enthusiast and geek, I am thrilled to be
a part of the shared world of the Wiccan Haus.
For
Becca’s personality, I channeled by inner child. I still believe in magic and
knights in shining armor. She gets a little more than she bargains for at
Wiccan Haus. Wizards and werewolves and vampires, oh my!
Ian
Branson is an older than usual hero, but I like my heroes a little more
experienced. A little uptight and a little supercilious, he is surprised at the
feral passion Becca unlocks in him. He has to deal with all the emotions he
keeps under lock and key to function. I think he exemplifies many of us who
function more than live. And it’s a Merlin inspired tale, who I’ve always felt
got a raw deal at the end of his life so I wrote him a different ending.

to know Tucker, the more she’s certain he’s a man worth remembering. But if the
Wiccan Haus heals her memory, he’ll have to fight to keep his bride.
Character Interview with Gwen
Fairfax from A Bride Worth Fighting For
By Sara Daniel
Interview conducted by Cemil Rowan,
co-owner and empath of the Wiccan Haus
Cemil: Thank you for coming to
chat with us today. Why do you think Sara Daniel choose you to represent
her/him?
Gwen: *laughs* I have no idea. Maybe she had
amnesia about my amnesia and forgot that I can’t remember anything!
Cemil: Tell us a little about yourself?
Gwen: Well, I woke up in the hospital a few days
ago and couldn’t remember a thing about the past ten months. Apparently, I’m
engaged to this total hunk who happens to be the most perfect, sensitive,
patient fiancé ever.
Cemil: Which of the Rowans do you most connect with
and why?
Gwen: I feel like you get me,
Cemil, so I hope you won’t be offended when I say I adore how Sage is always
there for me. She’s like a best friend and a mother rolled into one, and she is
always making me these weird colored shakes that somehow make me feel better.
Cemil: What is your birth date?
Gwen: Um, well, I don’t recall the
exact date. Pull my driver’s license out of my purse. That should give you all
my stats.
Cemil: Why did you come to the Wiccan Haus?
Gwen: That’s pretty obvious, even
for the girl who can’t remember anything. I came to get my memory back and to
fall in love with my fiancé again.
Cemil: What do you do to relax?
Gwen: As far as I know—sleep,
sleep, and more sleep. Hopefully, I’ll discover something more exciting while
I’m at the Wiccan Haus this week.
Cemil: Tell us about Tucker. What drew you to him?
Gwen: Of course, I don’t remember
what initially drew me to him, but I can guess. He’s gorgeous in that rugged “I
forgot to shave again” kind of way. He’s always solicitous and thoughtful,
putting my needs before his own. He has a huge passion for the environment.
When he starts talking about plant life, his eyes just light up. Between you
and me, I wish he’d look at me that way some time. Oh man, I shouldn’t have
said that. Please, don’t put that in the interview. I just wish I knew what he
saw in me that brought us together.
Cemil: What’s your biggest turn on? Turn off?
Gwen: How pathetic is this? I could tell you those
things about Tucker, but I don’t know them about myself yet.
Cemil: What your favorite ice cream flavor,
chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry?
Gwen: Not sure, but strawberry
sounds yummy. Honestly, though, if I had my choice, I’d skip the ice cream and
make a bowl of cinnamon applesauce instead.
Cemil: Why should the readers be interested in your
story?
Gwen: If you’ve ever wished for a
clean slate and to start your life over with no memory of the past, give this
story a try and see how it’s working out of me. Or if you’ve ever wanted to
wake up and have this most gorgeous, amazing guy engaged to you, this is the
book for you!
