Wiccan Haus (Book #15) BOOK BLITZ - Soul of Flame by: Merryn Dexter

Soul of Flame

Blurb

Exiled from her clan by a suspicious Queen, Fire Fae Ceara finds peace among the humans and a role within an elite rescue team. Following a tragic accident, the deaths of her team and the loss of her powers, Ceara is sent to the mysterious resort of Wiccan Haus to heal.

Kidnapped, abused and cursed on escape, black jaguar Shimeer Neguar is desperately seeking the cure which will re-unite him with his shifter half. Wiccan Haus is his last hope, but he is horrified to discover his nemesis is also a guest on the island.

When a huge black jaguar attacks Ceara, she hopes for death and an end to her suffering but the shifter fails to bite. The staff on the island want him banished, but understanding Shim has been the victim of another Fae, Ceara intercedes on his behalf and he is permitted to stay, as long as he stays away from her.

The smoke and spice scent of the Fae is driving Shim crazy and he can’t keep away from her. Can he reconcile his feelings and the Fates desire for them to mate with the fact that she is the image of the woman he loathes?

Ceara begins to fear the worst, the magnetic shifter who haunts her thoughts and inflames her passion is the key to a prophesy that threatens her very existence.

Can two broken souls find healing and love at Wiccan Haus or is their fated union the key to their destruction?

A rustle in the grass disturbed her. She raised her hand to shield her eyes, the sun shone high overhead now, dazzling her. Sitting up, she faced the noise and frowned at the tall man prowling through the meadow in her direction.
Jet-black hair lay close to his scalp, and his golden-brown skin glowed in the sun. His body flowed with the inborn grace of a shifter, and thick corded muscle packed his shoulders and arms. Dressed in a white T-shirt and cargo shorts, his bare feet ate up the distance until he paused at the edge of the circle. The lines feathered around his eyes and two deep grooves etched between his dark brows spoke of age and experience. A scruff of beard graced his jaw and upper lip, flecks of silver glinting in the bright sunshine. His jade eyes gave her the final piece in an unwanted puzzle. The jaguar.
Although he remained outside the circle, his presence unnerved her. The hairs on the back of her neck bristled, things long dormant stirring deep in her belly. Rising to her feet, she drew upon every harsh lesson learned at Court. Women of the Emerald did not get intimidated by walking beasts—no matter how attractive. Not possible.
His gaze traced over her naked form, she fought the urge to preen beneath his attention.
“You were told to stay away from me.”
“I was.” His deep voice rumbled in his chest, and her nipples pebbled in response.
Words flooded her mind. Primal, base, earthy. Nothing like the preening fools at Court nor the softer humans she’d met. Hard, strong, resilient. A man worthy to stand beside the daughter of a queen. His presence prickled over her skin like fireflies dancing in a dusky evening sky.
Taking a step forward, he breeched the perimeter of the circle. The energy flowing through her body took on a different resonance. Sharp, fierce power flooded her veins, and she threw her head back, crying out. The world shifted on its axis, the meadow around them altering beyond recognition. The atmosphere thickened, hot and humid with a hint of sulfur. Fronded palms waved in the breeze, choking vines curled around thick trunks, bright tropical flowers spread out before her eyes.

She glanced down, and he stood right there at the foot of the dolmen, his jade eyes glowing. He captured her gaze, held it with ease—not something many men could do—and it ramped up her excitement. He couldn’t be called good-looking, in any conventional sense. His features, too scarred and age battered to be considered pretty, were raw, compelling. She wanted nothing more than to leap from her high perch into his embrace.

Siren's Serenade
A Wiccan Haus Story
By: Dominique Eastwick

Blurb:

When Coast Guard rescue swimmer Kaleb Theldon sees what he's sure is a mermaid pulling his partner into the murky depths of the Bering Sea, his superiors call it PTSD. In order to save his career, Kaleb agrees to a week at an island spa off the coast of Maine. But the spa is nothing like he expected, and he isn't prepared for the sexy Siren that crosses his path. But will her passion be more than one mere human can take?

Serena has a problem, and after four previous visits to the Wiccan Haus, she'd expected things to get easier. But on the mermaid’s fifth visit, Kaleb walks in, and everything in her life becomes complicated. Never has she wanted to mate with a human man before. But can she keep her true self secret while she loves a man who has a chip on his shoulder a league long when it comes to mermaids?

And will loving him prove deadly?

This time, the staff has more than healing on their agenda. The siblings, Myron, and Rekkus must prove to these two lovers that things aren't always how they appear on the surface. Or Kaleb's demise might be found in his Siren's Serenade.

Welcome back to the Wiccan Haus.

The last of his kind…
Rekkus is the last of the great Black Tiger weres, and he’s happy to stay that way. Working as head of security for the Wiccan Haus, a magical spa for inner healing, he has enough danger to keep him busy. Unfortunately, the Fates are not content with him being comfortable.

Alone and discouraged…
Dana has walked away from everything—her fiancé, family, job, and apartment. A stay at the Wiccan Haus may be the only way she can move on. But what she finds isn’t what she expects, nor is it what she thought she’d been seeking.
If they can open themselves up they might discover that being together can be better than being alone and learn that passion can burn in those who least expect it.
Meet the unusual residents of the Wiccan Haus.
The staff can get a little hairy, and not all of the guests eat what’s served in the dining hall. But the Rowan siblings do what they can to make the resort a place of healing and peace, using all of their years of practice. At the Haus, where humans and paranormals reside side by side, everyone in need of the services are welcome. If some happens to fall in love then all the better.

Welcome to the Wiccan Haus.

Character Interview:

Today we are thrilled to have Rekkus, Head of Security for The Wiccan Haus with us...

Thank you Rekkus for coming to chat with us today. Why do you think Dominique Eastwick choose you to represent her?  I didn’t really have a choose as she is one of the high members of the Syndicate which rules the Para’s. So I am here. UNDER PROTEST

Tell us a little about yourself? I am head of Security for the Wiccan Haus.

And? And what?

Could you tell us what the Wiccan Haus is? Didn’t you do your research before coming to interview me? Fine, the Wiccan Haus is a resort and spa for the emotional and physical healing of those in need. We are located off the coast of Maine. Contact Myron if you want more information.  Is that enough information for you?

Where do you live? At the Wiccan Haus. Is this really necessary I have work to do.

Your accent isn’t American and certainly isn’t from Maine. Where are you from originally? You really mean to go through with this interview don’t you?  Fine, I am from Wales. But it’s been a very long time since I lived there.

What do you wish people would know about you? I wish people didn’t know about me at all.

What music do you listen too? I like Jazz and traditional Irish folk music.

Will we be seeing more of you or are you stepping out of the lime light? I can only hope to step out of the lime light but I don’t see that happening.

Where have we seen you before?  If you had seen me before you would not be here now.

What is your perfect evening? Any evening I spend with Dana. ALONE.

Is there anything you wish Dominique Eastwick had kept her mouth shut about?  Are you kidding me? First Hell Yes. Second I’m not a fool to bad mouth Dominique or any member of the Syndicate now am I?

Do you feel you were portrayed fairly?  Yes, actually I was.

Tell us about Dana what drew you to her?  Fate would be the simple answer, that she is my soul mate just as simple.  But it’s her fragility that made me love her.

What’s your favorite sports team?  Manchester United.

What’s you biggest turn ons? Dana, in any state of dress or undress.

What are your biggest Turn offs? Weak Para’s

What’s your favorite Ice cream flavor, Chocolate, Vanilla, or Strawberry? This is an important question? I do like a bowl of cream every now and then.  I would have to go with Strawberry; Sage makes some killer strawberry ice cream on the Island.

What is your biggest fear? Having anything happen to the Rowan Siblings or Dana. They are my family and I protect them with my life.

Where can a person find out more about the Wiccan Haus? At the Wiccan Haus Blog http://thewiccanhaus.blogspot.com/

Now if it’s all the same to you I have work to do.  Next time interview Cyrus and Sarka I am sure they would LOVE to chat with you.

(Interviewers side note: having approached both Cyrus and Sarka it’s this Interviewers opinion that unless one wants to take their life into their own hands it would be well advised to stay away from those two siblings.)

SHIFTING HEARTS

Excerpt
“It’s not safe for you here with me. I left you alone last night, but, if you stay, I’m not sure I can honor a request to stop a second time.”
“I felt it, too,” she blurted, unable to keep it to herself any longer.
Rekkus moved so fast, she never saw him actually take a step. Strong, wet arms wrapped around her, and her breasts pressed against his chest. His eyes searched hers. He must have seen what he searched for because his lips were on hers with feverous desire before she formed another thought, demanding she open for him. And no part of her considered denying him anything. Butterflies churned in her stomach until she shook. In all the years with Frank, and it had been a great many, she’d never felt this, like fire threatened to engulf her.
Dana wound her arms around his neck, running her fingers through his damp hair and deepening the kiss. His moan allowed her to gather the nerve and strength to urge him forward. He forced her past her comfort zone into accepting the sexy seductress screaming to be let out. She knew what he most desired because she wanted it too. Wanted him, all of him, every naked inch, right there, next to the lake, not even a ten-minute walk from the Haus. Anyone might stumble across them, and she didn’t care. It almost added to the allure of having him. What she needed it to be.
