Wiccan Haus (Book #12) Book Blitz - Sorcerer's Legacy - By Carolyn Spear!

Sorcerer’s Legacy by Carolyn Spear
(Wiccan Haus)

Blurb:

Librarian Rebecca Jones has always found solace in books. The death of her grandmother leaves her alone in the world. An inherited old Welsh scroll renews her desire to find the father she never knew. She hopes fairytale Wiccan Haus will yield the answers she needs.

Descendent of the inspiration for the Merlin legend, Ian Branson lives with the responsibility of protecting humans and paranormal beings. He takes an impromptu vacation with the Rowans of Wiccan Haus, seeking healing for his out of control psychic abilities.

As soon as Ian meets Becca, he feels the pull of his soulmate. Love has no place in his life but he cannot deny the peace only she can provide. Becca finds her Welsh knight in shining armor to translate her scroll but passion tempts her from her quest to find her father.

As their relationship blooms, Ian fears putting another loved one in jeopardy. A tryst isn’t enough but Ian’s charmed solution goes awry.  With his emotions into a tailspin, he is forced to sacrifice his pride and ask the formidable eldest Rowan for help.

Will Sarka’s magic reverse the sorcerer’s spell and will Becca accept Ian’s legacy and her own?

Excerpt:

From his Richard Gere hair to his stern clean-shaven jaw, he was model material. His eyes, soft green like a mist-covered glade, penetrated straight to her soul. Ian posed a danger to her heart, no matter how he charged her body.
Remember what Grandma always said. “Think with your logical brain, not with your romantic heart. Love does not put food in your mouth or a roof over your head.”
Or decipher an ancient Welsh text.
“What can I do?” she asked as she stood, having nothing to do.
He rose from where he’d prepared the fire pit and walked to her, extending his hand. After a moment, she took it and stood beside him.
“Nothing. It’s done. Are you ready?”
“For what?” Truly, the limits of reality had been shattered and anything seemed possible.
“For magick.”

About the author:
Welcome to Wiccan Haus. I know you’ll love this series as much as I do. It is a world of possibilities, an escape from our daily realities. An island with shifters, witches, and all manner of paranormal beings, there’s mystery and magic around every bend, in each encounter.
I’m Carolyn Spear, mother of two sweet girls and wife of one fabulous husband. Reading, gardening and exploring are my passions. I don’t really “write” but rather channel my characters' stories to share with others. A strange combination of small town girl, travel enthusiast and geek, I am thrilled to be a part of the shared world of the Wiccan Haus.
For Becca’s personality, I channeled by inner child. I still believe in magic and knights in shining armor. She gets a little more than she bargains for at Wiccan Haus. Wizards and werewolves and vampires, oh my!
Ian Branson is an older than usual hero, but I like my heroes a little more experienced. A little uptight and a little supercilious, he is surprised at the feral passion Becca unlocks in him. He has to deal with all the emotions he keeps under lock and key to function. I think he exemplifies many of us who function more than live. And it’s a Merlin inspired tale, who I’ve always felt got a raw deal at the end of his life so I wrote him a different ending.

Wiccan Haus (Book #9) Book Blitz - Lifebound by: Leigh Daley

Lifebound by Leigh Daley

Blurb:

A fine line divides ecstasy and death; they are about to cross it.

Lamia Adriana Velen doesn’t want another host. She has come to Wiccan Haus to learn to balance her energies without draining the life of a human.  However, when extreme skateboarder Josh Trenton comes near, his energy practically leaps into her. Josh just wants space to recover from an accident that could end his career, but one touch from Adriana threatens to enslave him---body and soul. Can they walk the fine line between ecstasy and death or will she consume him utterly?

Excerpt:

Adriana had done plenty of ice-skating as a girl, which paid off as she found her balance pretty quickly. The board responded to her as she shifted her weight, curving back and forth across the pavement.
A movement out of the corner of her eye caught her attention.  Josh had borrowed a board and was also gliding along, weaving in and out of the benches that bordered the edges.
“You guys need to work on grinding these benches and popping ollies over them,” he said. “This could be a great place to skate.”
“Something tells me Sarka would not approve of us grinding her benches,” Joseph warned.
Adriana suddenly remembered her promise to Sarka that she would go to her room and stay far away from Josh Trenton. She sighed then. The morning had been surprisingly enjoyable. But for her own good, she needed to pack it in.
Sadly, she pushed off back toward the group of guys. “I’m going to have to call it a day,” she said as she drew closer to them.
“For real?” Josh asked, disappointment in his voice.
“Yes, I’ve got to get some work done,” she lied as she rolled up.
Just as she reached the edge of the pavement where the group stood, her front wheel hung on a pebble, stopping the board suddenly and throwing her forward. She threw out her hands to catch herself, but Josh got there first.
He reached out to grab her arms to keep her from falling, and despite her best effort to roll away from him, he caught her.
They hit the ground hard.
But it was done.
His fingers gripped her shoulders as he pulled her into him, and the contact between them completed with a rush of energy that left her lightheaded.
Time stopped as his human strength surged between them, as it soaked up the overflow of power that had built in her, as it gave back its own life in return.
The first contact with a prospective host generally felt a bit uncomfortable, almost like a negotiation, as her energies shifted and adjusted to be compatible with the host. With Tom it had taken months of casual touches—the barest brush of fingertips as she passed him a pen, a hand laid briefly on his arm through layers of clothing—before she could begin to allow any real interchange of energy flow between them. And even while she sat hand in hand with him in the ambulance, the flow had been controllable—at least for a while.
What she felt now was not controllable. She lay on the ground on top of Josh, his hands gripping the bare skin of her arms tightly, their legs tangled together on the ground, her cheek pressed against his.  Her focus zeroed in on the soft sensation of his breath against her neck and the warmth that surged from him as their bodies touched their entire length separated by only the thinnest layers of cotton.
Their energies synchronized effortlessly and began to surge back and forth between them like raw current. He poured into her like she was a dry well, and she soaked him up as if she could never get enough. His life flowed quicksilver-smooth in her veins. Her skin tingled and glowed as his essence washed over her in a flood of pure elation.
But as much as she tried to give the flow back to him, she knew she took even more in an insidious unstoppable drain of his energies. She was going to hurt him. She was going to pull his life completely away from him if she didn’t break the connection—soon. She clamped down on her abilities, she couldn’t stop up a fire hose with a piece of bubblegum.
Desperately, she twisted against his grasp, but he held her tightly.
“Josh, please,” she whispered into his ear, “you’ve got to let me go.”
Finally, his hold relaxed enough for her to push herself away to sit a few feet from him on the ground. He sat up and looked at her, his breath coming in deep ragged gasps. He was pale and shaking.
“I’m sorry.”
“For what?” he asked, then his eyes fluttered shut and he passed out cold on the grass.

Wiccan Haus (Book #6) Book Blitz - Unveil My Heart by: Nya Rayne

Blurb:

Hayze has roamed the Earth for over three millennia alone, praying to one day find the other half of his soul. The one woman who would make his deadened heart beat once more. He never imagined he’d find her, Blaine, in a bloodied heap beneath the claws of a despicable yazaron, the very bane of his existence. Hayze saved Blaine and as a reward was given three days to make her love him or he would cease to exist. Literally.

Blaine spent those three days in ICU fighting for her life. And now when Hayze’s time left on earth is borrowed at best, the woman for whom he would gladly die a hundred times over would rather spit on him than look at him.

Fate, what a cruel bitch.

Excerpt:

He smoothed the back of his hand down her cheek as he slowly licked his lips, his eyes begging her to stay a moment longer, to hold on to this stolen moment between them.
“I-I-have to pay you back somehow,” she whispered, not breaking the contact.
Hayze tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. “I assure you it’s not necessary.” His eyes searched her face from brow to chin and cheek to cheek, in a whisper of promises and apologies she wasn’t quite ready to hear.
“I don’t like being indebted to anyone.” She swallowed. “If I am, I feel like I’m that person’s property.”
He traced her lower lip with the tip of his thumb as he leaned in closer. “Would it be that bad, Blaine, to belong to me?” A rueful smile crossed his face before he hid it.
“I—You don’t know me. I don’t know you.” Blaine closed her eyes and tried to ignore the way her heart reached for his and her soul reveled in his touch. Something soft brushed her lips, but she couldn’t say it was his lips because lips weren’t supposed to be that soft. She opened her eyes and watched in fascination as the tip of his tongue flitted over his lower lip. “I have to pay you back,” she blurted, jerking her head out of his hold.
“If you must, I’ll make a deal with you.”
“A deal?”
“Yes. Let’s call it a compromise.”
“Okay, a compromise.” She agreed.
“For the remainder of time we have here on this island, share your meals with me. Take walks with me in the afternoons. Share with me your dreams, your aspirations, and your fears.” He was leaning still closer now, nearly whispering in her ear. His breath misted over her earlobe, warming it. “I will not take your money, Blaine, but I will gladly take your time as payment.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“Why not?” Hayze shifted so that he was looking her directly in the eye. He still wasn’t touching her, but she could feel the tips of his fingers tracking slowly down the side of her cheek to her neck. It made no sense, but still she could feel him.
Her gaze moved down to the tattoo covering his neck and she would’ve sworn that it formed the shape of a large paw and reached out toward her. She blinked and the tattoo was back to normal. “Because the world doesn’t work that way.” Jesus, she wanted to kiss him, to melt into him and forget her life of pain.
“That’s the thing, Blaine, all you have to say is yes and it can work exactly that way for us.”
“I’m not that lucky, Hayze.”
“What does luck have to do with this?  I’m here, you’re here, why can’t we just be here together?”
Was it really that simple? She stepped back, forcing more space between them. “You’re crazy.”
“I’ve been called worse.” Hayze grinned and stepped back as well, giving her the space she needed.
For another brief moment she swore the ink of his tattoo moved again, this time receding further down into the neckline of his shirt.  Now she was certain she was losing her damn mind.  Tattoos didn’t move! Right?
“Will you accept my compromise?”
